Any listing in this product directory or other related materials, where “NRTL” appears next to the product name was tested by ARL as a NRTL.  The NRTL status for these listed products was valid through January 27th, 2008 unless previously delisted.  These products may remain listed solely by ARL. However, they are no longer under the surveillance of the NRTL program.

ENCLOSURES FOR ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

The products listed here are electrical equipment enclosures for use in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70.  Specific applications covered by this category include cabinets and cutout boxes and junction and pull boxes.  Specific applications not covered by this category of products are junction boxes of the swimming pool type.

Each type of enclosure covered by this category is described in general and functional terms where practicable, and omits reference to structural details and specific applications except where they are essential to the identification of the enclosure type.  Such additional details and specifications are included in the applicable standards for the end-product involved.

Each product is marked with the name or trademark of the (manufacturer) or vendor, a distinctive style, type, catalog or model designation, date code, type of enclosure indicating the external conditions for which it is acceptable, and cautionary and hazard warnings as suitable for the particular enclosure type or intended application.

These products comply with ARL requirements which include pertinent sections of the Standard for Safety, ANSI/UL 50, Enclosures for Electrical Equipment.

A product that contains features, characteristics, components, materials, or systems new or different from those covered by the requirements of the standard, and that involve a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, have been evaluated using the appropriate additional component and end-product requirements as determined necessary to maintain the acceptable level of safety as originally anticipated by the intent of the standard.  A product whose features, characteristics, components, materials, or systems conflict with specific provisions of the standard have been judged to be in non-compliance with the standard.

Only products which properly bear the ARL Listing Mark (Label) are considered Listed by ARL.
